Aggies to Host Cardinals and Horned Frogs Monday at Mitchell

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The No. 7 Texas A&M men's tennis team is set to host Incarnate Word (7-9) and No. 3 TCU (14-2) Monday afternoon at the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center in College Station, Texas. The Aggies (19-5) will face the Cardinals at noon followed by a 6 p.m. top-10 showdown against the Horned Frogs.
 
The maroon and white return to action after dropping a 4-3 heartbreaker at Vanderbilt Friday evening. The two teams split singles matches three apiece, but the Commodores opened the match with the pivotal doubles point to claim the team victory. No. 45 Shane Vinsant, Jackson Withrow and Max Lunkin were victorious Friday in Music City.
 
The Aggies will feature a trio of ranked singles players against the Cardinals and Horned Frogs, led by No. 18 Arthur Rinderknech. The Paris, France native has been the highest ranked SEC singles player in each of the spring rankings. The right-hander leads A&M with a 21-9 record this season, including a team-high eight wins over ranked players.
 
Vinsant moved to No. 45 in the latest ITA poll, the Keller native leads the Aggies with a 13-5 dual record, going 11-4 on court two and 2-0 on the top court. The senior is 8-2 in his last 10 matches and equals Rinderknech's eight wins over ranked opponents. Sophomore Jordi Arconada rounds out the Aggies ranked contingent at No. 90. The Buenos Aires native is third on the squad in wins this season at 18, with an 11-6 ledger in dual matches. The righty has six wins in A&M's last 10 matches against three losses and one unfinished match.
 
In doubles action, Rinderknech and Withrow lead the charge with a 12-5 record, going 8-5 on the top court and 4-0 on court two. The pair are an impressive 5-5 against ranked teams, pushing them into the Top-20 in this week's poll at No. 18. Rinderknech ranks No. 35 alongside Vinsant, despite the fact that the two have not featured since the calendar turned to 2016. Arconada partners with junior Max Lunkin to rank No. 90 this week, the pair are 9-3 this season, including a 6-2 mark in duals and a 1-1 mark against ranked pairs.
 
TCU enters Monday's match with four ranked singles players and one ranked doubles team. The ranked Horned Frogs singles players are No. 3 Cameron Norrie, No. 15 Alex Rybakov, No. 54 Guillermo Nunez and No. 103 Eduardo Nava and their ranked doubles team is No. 67 Hudson Blake and Reese Stadler.
 
The Aggies will return to SEC play this weekend at the Mitchell Tennis Center as No. 11 Georgia and No. 65 South Carolina come to town. The Aggies and Bulldogs will face off at 6 p.m. Friday, April 1, followed by a Sunday 11 a.m. showdown with the Gamecocks. UT-Arlington and A&M will face off at 4:30 p.m. Sunday as well.
