No. 18 Texas A&M takes on Texas State Wednesday

COLLEGE STATION – The No. 18 Texas A&M softball team will take on Texas State at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Bobcat Softball Stadium in San Marcos.
A&M (33-14, 6-12 SEC), who is looking to snap a three-game losing skid, is led by freshman Keeli Milligan at the top of the lineup. The speedster from Vidor, Texas is hitting .376 with her nation-leading 48 steals, which is tied for the most in school history. Sophomore Tori Vidales is tied with sophomore Kristen Cuyos with a team-high 13 homers while driving in 47 runs. Cuyos and senior Cali Lanphear lead the Aggies with 50 RBI.
In the circle, freshman Samantha Show is 20-8 with a 3.57 ERA and 136 strikeouts. Show's 20 wins are the second most in the SEC. Sophomore Trinity Harrington is 6-5 with a 3.22 ERA and senior Katie Marks is 7-0 with a 3.57 ERA.
In the last five games, freshman Kaitlyn Alderink is hitting an astounding .667 (10-for-15) with five runs scored, one double, a home run and six RBI along with two walks. In conference play, Alderink is third on the team in batting average at .382 with a team-high 19 runs.
Texas State is currently 30-17 (9-9 Sun Belt) on the season and is led by Taylor Webb, who is hitting .298 on the year. Kendall Wiley and Corrina Liscano lead the Bobcats with five home runs, while Liscano's 26 RBI are tops on the team. Randi Rupp is 22-9 with a 1.59 ERA and 263 strikeouts in 189 innings of work.
