COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Texas A&M men's basketball team tips off a two-game homestand Tuesday night when the Aggies host Ole Miss at 8 p.m.
The contest will be televised on SEC Network with Tom Hart calling the play-by-play action and Jon Sundvold providing commentary. Additionally, radio coverage will be available on the Aggie Sports Network, which can be heard locally in the Bryan/College Station area on WTAW (1620 AM).
Texas A&M (11-6; 0-5 SEC) will be looking to regain the form that propelled the Aggies to No. 5 in the country after winning 11 of their first 12 games to open the season. Texas A&M will enter this week at full strength on the court after seeing Duane Wilson, who had missed the previous three games due to injury, return to the lineup Saturday at Tennessee. A rash of injuries led to a depleted Aggie lineup during recent weeks as A&M has played just four games this season with its entire roster available for competition.
Ole Miss (10-7; 3-2 SEC) comes to Aggieland riding the momentum of an upset of Florida, 78-72, on Saturday in Oxford, Miss., during which the Rebels handed the Gators their first SEC loss of the season. Junior forward Bruce Stevens scored 22 points and senior guard Deandre Burnett added 20 in the win over UF, marking the first time that Ole Miss has two 20-point scorers in a game this season. The Rebel guards are the strength of the squad, having accounted for 71.3 percent of the team's scoring output.

SETTING THE SCENE / NOTABLES
- Texas A&M enters the week attempting to turn the tide after an 0-5 start to SEC play ... The Aggies' most recent five-game conference losing streak came during the 2015-16 campaign when A&M recovered from the skid to win its last six games, capturing a share of the SEC title before a run to the Sweet 16.
- A&M is 2-2 vs. ranked teams this season, having carded wins over No. 11 West Virginia (Nov. 10 at Ramstein Air Base Germany) and No. 10 USC (Nov. 26 in Los Angeles) against losses vs. No. 21 Kentucky (Jan. 9 in Lexington) and No. 24 Tennessee (Jan. 13 in Knoxville).
- Graduate transfer guard Duane Wilson made his return against Tennessee after missing three games following an injury suffered Dec. 30 at Alabama ... Wilson ranks fifth in the SEC with an average of 4.6 assists per game.
- Texas A&M had its full complement of players against Tennessee, marking the just the fourth game this season the Aggies have been at full strength with no one missing due to injury or suspension.
SERIES HISTORY VS. OLE MISS (A&M LEADS 5-2)
- Tuesday will be just the eight meeting between the Aggies and Rebels on the hardwood ... A&M owns a 5-2 lead in the all-time series between the schools.
- The Aggies are 3-0 all-time against Ole Miss inside Reed Arena.
- Last year, Texas A&M picked up their first ever win in Oxford, defeating the Rebels 80-76 in their initial visit to the Pavilion at Ole Miss.
- During the Aggies first season in the SEC in 2013, the two schools split a pair of meetings with each team winning on its home court ... On Feb. 13, the Aggies earned a 69-67 victory over the Rebels at Reed Arena ... A&M was led by a 37-point performance by Elston Turner ... Later in the year on Feb. 27, the Rebels evened the score with a 82-73 win in Oxford.
- The first meeting between the schools came on Dec. 30, 1972, in Oklahoma City during the All-College Classic ... The Aggies prevailed with a 100-83 victory.
UP NEXT AFTER THE OLE MISS GAME
The Aggies continue their two-game home stand at Reed Arena by hosting Missouri on Saturday ... The game will tip off at 3 p.m. (CT) be televised on SEC Network.DAVIS JOINS 1,000-POINT & 500-REBOUND CLUBS; CLIMBING ALL-TIME REBOUNDING LIST
From the first day he hit the court as a rookie wearing the Maroon & White, Tyler Davis has always prided himself on hitting the boards hard. That dedication garnered Davis a spot in Texas A&M's exclusive 500-Rebound Club as he hit the milestone against Prairie View A&M on Dec. 9 to become just the 26th Aggie to reach 500. He currently ranks 18th in school history with 578 career boards.Davis hit another milestone during the win over Buffalo as he became the 36th member of A&M's 1,000 Point Club.
DAVIS AMONG COLLEGE BASKETBALL'S BEST IN FIELD GOAL PERCENTAGE
Junior Tyler Davis has led the SEC in field goal percentage each of his first two collegiate seasons (65.5 percent as a freshman in 15-16 and 61.7 percent as a sophomore in 2016-17) and currently leads the league (59.3 percent).Nationally, Davis ranks fourth in career field goal percentage at 62.7 percent in 84 career games.
AGGIES GRIND THROUGH ONE NATION'S TOUGHEST SCHEDULES
A&M's non-conference slate is among the most daunting in the country. The Aggies took on West Virginia (at Ramstein Air Base in Germany as part of the Armed Forces Classic), USC, Arizona (in Phoenix) and at the end of this month Kansas, all away from College Station. Additionally, A&M won the Legends Classic (Nov. 20-21) at Brooklyn's Barclays Center where the Aggies defeated Oklahoma State and Penn State to capture the event's title. In addition to the challenging non-conference slate, SEC looks to be a grind this year as the league has proven to been one the best conferences in recent years and is coming off an attention-grabbing campaign where it posted an 11-5 record in the NCAA Tournament and had three teams advance to the Elite Eight.
- 17 total games vs. postseason teams from last season (13 NCAA / 4 NIT) - A&M is currently 4-4
- 11 teams that made the 2017 NCAA Tournament (A&M plays Arkansas, Kentucky twice) - A&M is currently 4-3
- Of A&M's 31 regular season games, only 14 are against teams that did not make the NCAA or NIT last season.
- A&M will play a postseason team away from home (including neutral sites) 10 times - A&M is currently 3-3
#DOMORE
It started as the theme of a motivational talk by strength & condition coach Darby Rich during summer workouts but "Do More" has become the de facto motto for the Aggie basketball team this season.Coming off a 16-15 campaign last season that fell short of repeating the success of an SEC Championship and a Sweet 16 showing the year prior, Texas A&M coaches & players have bought into the idea that all of them need to "Do More" this season. It's all encompassing philosophy that includes work in the weight room, practice habits, mental preparation, scouting and vocal leadership as the Aggies put in extra work & focus to achieve their lofty expectations this season.
