Hudek’s Long Ball Lifts No. 6 Aggies Past Notre Dame, 5-3

CATHEDRAL CITY, Calif. -- The No. 6 Texas A&M softball team opened the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic with a thrilling 5-3 victory over Notre Dame Thursday.
The Aggie (10-0) offense was led by Sarah Hudek, who went 2-for-3 with a go-ahead two-run dinger in the sixth. Tori Vidales continued her torrid start to the year with a two-RBI single and Kristen Cuyos drove in a runner on her second double of the season.
In the circle, Samantha Show recorded her third victory of the season, striking out six in a complete game effort.
KEY INNINGS
B1 | Notre Dame (6-5) threatened early getting runners on first and second with one out, but Show got out of the jam with back-to-back strikeouts.
T3 | Show started off the inning with a double down the left field line and scored on Kristen Cuyos' second double of the season. Keeli Milligan and Kaitlyn Alderink loaded the bases with infield singles, before Tori Vidales roped a single up the middle, plating Cuyos and Milligan. A&M 3, ND 0
