TEXAS A&M QUOTES
Head Coach Rob Chlidress
On Ole Miss...
"They have physicality up and down their lineup. Great starting pitching, there's no holes in their team with a great bullpen. They play defense at a high level and they have some guys up and down their lineup who can change the game with one swing of the bat."
On John Doxakis...
"He was really good today. It seems like he just keeps getting better and better. He commanded both sides of the plate really well last week against Auburn and was gone a little earlier than he was this week. To (almost) go seven complete, he was incredibly competitive. About as good as you can be."
Junior 2B Michael Helman
On winning the middle game...
"It's big. Coach talked about toughness before the game and that 8th inning was a scare but we felt like we were going to come out on top in the end."
On what Allonte Wingate added at third...
"He had the last three outs. The second out was one that could have gotten by but he made a great play on it and ended up winning."
Sophomore LHP John Doxakis
On Ole Miss' powerful lineup…
"You know you have to keep the ball down against them. They are a really good hitting team. Lots of big bats in the line-up. The pitchers have been doing a good job of keeping it down."
Sophomore DH Hunter Coleman
On bouncing back and getting the win…
"Tough loss last night but we have a short memory and bounced back. In this league you have to have a short memory since there is a lot of close games. It's all about bouncing back and ending the series on Saturday."
