WHAT THEY SAID
Texas A&M Head Coach Jo Evans
On the defense tonight…
"They were terrific. I thought Kristen Cuyos had an absolutely great game and then to top it off with that catch at the end was great. Riley Sartain was great also. There were a lot of really nice plays out there tonight."
On her team's performance tonight…
"We had a lot of quality at bats tonight. We didn't have a massive amount of hits but what we did have was have quality at bats. We only had one strikeout, which is good to see, and people were squaring it up. Overall, I was really pleased to see our at bats. We looked calm at the plate and it showed."
On the crowd…
"I loved it. I just appreciate them so much. I want to thank the crowd because I did not know what the turnout was going to be. We were walking around on campus and it looked like a ghost town so tonight I was hoping we would have a good crowd. I wanted to have a good crowd behind us and we did. They were loud and were into it. I wish every single person in the stands would belt out "Sweet Caroline" in the fourth inning. It was great to play in front of such an awesome crowd."
