GAME PREVIEW: Sam Houston State

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Texas A&M Aggies host their final midweek contest of the 2018 campaign when they welcome the Sam Houston State Bearkats on Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park Tuesday evening. The 6:32 p.m. contest starts a regular-season-ending, four-game home stand for the Aggies.
The Aggies are 76-4 in regular-season, non-conference home games since 2015, including 18-1 in 2018. Texas A&M is 22-2 in all non-conference games this season, including 11-1 in midweek action.
The Maroon & White enter the contest ranked 16th in the nation in ERA (3.30) and 20th in WHIP (1.24).
Michael Helman leads the Aggie offense with a .361 batting average and .450 on-base percentage. Helman ranks 35th in the nation in hits (74) and 64th in runs (50).
Nolan Hoffman continues to climb the Aggies' single-season saves chart with his 10 ranking fourth on the list. He is four saves shy of the A&M single-season record set by J ason Jester (14) in 2013. Hoffman ranks 28th in the nation in pitching appearances (27) and 29th in saves (10).
