HOOVER, Alabama – The Texas A&M Aggies continue their run at the SEC Tournament Wednesday when they face the No. 9 Georgia Bulldogs in the day's first action at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium. The game is set for 9:30 a.m.
Texas A&M opened the tournament Tuesday with a 3-1 victory against Vanderbilt behind the pitching of Kaylor Chafin and Nolan Hoffman. Chafin, who yielded just one run in 6.0 innings, improved to 13-2 for his career with his .867 winning percentage ranking fifth on A&M's all-time list. The Aggies are looking for their second SEC Tournament crown, to go with their 2016 title. Texas A&M owns a 9-6 record all-time at the SEC Tournament logging a pair of wins in both 2013 and 2015 in addition to the four wins during the 2016 title run.
Georgia took two of three from the Aggies in their regular-season series played in Athens. This marks their first meeting at the SEC Tournament.
The game will be televised on the SEC Network with Dave Neal (play-by-play), Todd Walker (color) and Kris Budden (field) handling the call. The contest will be available for viewing on SEC Network +.
