MIDWEEK PREVIEW: Houston Baptist and Incarnate Word

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M Baseball closes its 10-game, season-opening homestand with midweek games against Houston Baptist and Incarnate Word on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively, on Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park.
Aggie starting pitchers have registered a 5-1 record with a 1.03 ERA, .170 opponent batting average, 8.00 K-to-BB ratio and 0.76 WHIP through eight starts. Texas A&M pitchers have not allowed a first-inning run in 2019. Five different starters have combined to scatter two hits, two walks and two hit-by-pitch while striking out 10 in 8.0 innings. The Maroon & White have not allowed an extra-base hit in the first inning this season.
The Aggies have been stellar in February the last six seasons, logging a 48-4 mark the opening month since 2014, including 16-1-0 in 2018.
Texas A&M is 84-5 in regular-season non-conference home games since 2015, including 19-1 in 2018.
Both games are available for viewing on SEC Network +. SEC Network + provides digital-only events to SEC Network subscribers through WatchESPN and the ESPN app on smartphones, computers, tablets and connected devices (Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick, Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, Xbox 360 and Xbox One).
