COLLEGE STATION -- The Texas A&M men's basketball team returns home Saturday to host Vanderbilt at 5 p.m. The team's four seniors, Frank Byers, Chris Collins, Admon Gilder and Christian Mekowulu, will be honored prior to the game and address the Reed Arena crowd following the game. A&M has won four of its last six, but is looking to bounce back after falling at No. 13 LSU on Tuesday night. The Commodores are in search of their first league win of the season, most recently falling, 71-55, to Florida at home Wednesday night. Tickets for the Senior Day game are available here.
Texas A&M Quick Hits
• Wendell Mitchell led the Aggies in scoring for the ninth time this season with 14 points at LSU Tuesday night.
• Mitchell has come into his own in SEC play, leading the Aggies with 15.3 ppg and 26 steals (1.7 spg).
• Savion Flagg was named SEC Player of the Week for the first time, capping off a strong week with a 22-point performance at Arkansas.
• Josh Nebo, the SEC's leader in blocked shots, got up for five swats at LSU ... He averages 2.5 blocks per game.
• TJ Starks suffered a dislocated shoulder in the first half of the game at LSU and will miss the remainder of the season ... He averages 12.3 points per game and leads the team with 94 assists on the season.
• A&M will recognize four seniors prior to Saturday's game as Frank Byers, Chris Collins, Admon Gilder and Christian Mekowulu will be honored.
• The Aggies held No. 13 LSU to its lowest point total of the season, only allowing the Tigers to score 66 points Tuesday night.
• A&M's 87-80 win at Arkansas marked the first time it has earned a victory in Fayetteville since the 1986 season.

• Saturday's meeting will be the 12th between the Aggies and Commodores on the hardwood, as Vanderbilt leads the all-time series 8-3.
• Last season, the Aggies snapped a three-game skid in the series, picking up their first win over Vanderbilt in Nashville with an 89-81 late-season victory.
• The only meeting between the schools prior to Texas A&M joining the SEC for the 2012-13 season came on Dec. 3, 1955, in Nashville ... The Commodores prevailed with a 79-69 victory.
• A&M's Billy Kennedy is 4-8 against Vanderbilt during his career as a head coach.
• During the 2010 NCAA Tournament, Kennedy's 13th-seeded Murray State squad defeated No. 4 seed Vanderbilt during the tournament's opening round in Salt Lake City, Utah.
SEC Action
• The Aggies are in their seventh season as a member of the SEC. A&M is 71-62 all-time in league play.
• Five of the nine Aggies that saw the court in the team's league opener against Arkansas made their SEC debuts.
• On Jan. 12, 2019, A&M earned its first win in Tuscaloosa as a member of the SEC, following it up on Feb. 23, 2019 with the program's first win in Fayetteville since the 1986 season. Florida remains as the only place the Aggies have yet to earn a road win as a member of the SEC.
• Sophomore TJ Starks returns the most experience in SEC play, after he started the last ten games of conference play last season and was eventually named to the All-Freshman team. He was also named to the SEC Preseason Second Team by the league's coaches.
Flagg Named SEC Player of the Week
• Sophomore Savion Flagg earned his first SEC Player of the Week honor on Feb. 25 after a strong week of leading the Aggies to a pair of historical victories.
• Flagg started the week sparking a resilient effort by the Aggies to earn the first season sweep of Alabama in program history, leading the way with 18 points and nine rebounds. He followed it up with a 22-point, 9-rebound performance to give A&M it's first SEC win in Fayetteville.
