COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The No. 18 Texas A&M Aggies host the Rice Owls in a 6:30 p.m. contest Tuesday on Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park.
The game airs on the SEC Network with Mike Morgan (play-by-play) and Todd Walker (color analyst) on the call. The game is also available for viewing on SEC Network +. The Maroon & White look to continue the momentum gained from the weekend's series victory over No. 2 Vanderbilt. After suffering a 7-4 loss in Friday's opener and falling behind 7-2 after seven innings on Saturday, the Maroon & White mounted an epic comeback scoring six runs in the final two innings to even the series and then won the rubber match, 7-0. The Aggies outscored the Commodores 13-0 in the final 11 innings of the series with Jonathan Ducoff driving in seven of the runs. The graduate transfer batted 4-for-4 with runners in scoring position and five of his RBI came with two outs, including Saturday's walk-off run.
Cam Blake enters play as the Aggies' top hitter with a .340 batting average to go with nine runs and 10 RBI. After starting the season with a .278 average through March 3, Blake has heated up to the tune of .379 (11-for-29) over the last nine games, including three doubles and one triple. Ty Coleman is also warming up, batting .429 (12-for-28) over the last eight games after starting the season at a .214 clip (6-for-28).
