SERIES PREVIEW: Missouri

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The No. 11 Texas A&M Aggies hit the midway point of the regular-season and head into the second half with a three-game SEC series against the Missouri Tigers starting Friday at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park. Game times are slated for 6:32, 2:02 and 1:02 p.m.
The Aggies look to continue the outstanding play of their seven-game win streak, which includes a series sweep at Kentucky in which the Maroon & White outscored the Wildcats 31-11. Including Tuesday's midweek win against Lamar, the Aggies have raised their batting average 16 points over the last four games, batting .359 (56-for-156) with 13 doubles, three triples and six home runs.
Every game of the series is available for viewing on SEC Network +. SEC Network + provides digital-only events to SEC Network subscribers through WatchESPN and the ESPN app on smartphones, computers, tablets and connected devices (Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick, Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, Xbox 360 and Xbox One). All three games will air on the radio locally. Friday's game will be exclusively on SportsRadio 1550 AM. Saturday and Sunday are on SportsRadio 1150 and/or 102.7 The Zone with Dave South on the call.
Braden Shewmake's recent performance has been player of the week worthy, including batting .625 (10-for-16) in the series sweep at Kentucky with five runs, one double, two home runs and nine RBI. He hit 5-for-6 in the finale. After batting just .185 (5-for-27) the first eight games of 2019, Shewmake has caught fire the last 19 contests, hitting. 385 (32-for-83) with 21 runs and 29 RBI
Ty Coleman and Jonathan Ducoff have also heated up recently. After starting the season batting .214 (6-for-28) with five runs and seven RBI in the Aggies' first 14 games (through March 3), Coleman is hitting .404 (19-for-47) in the last 13 contests, logging 13 runs and 15 RBI. Through 20 games, Ducoff was batting just .148 (4-for-27) with five runs and nine RBI. In the last seven contests, he is hitting .333 (10-for-30) with four runs and 11 RBI.
Texas A&M pitchers are holding opponents to a .200 batting average with runners in scoring position. Bryce Miller is limiting opponents to 0-for-11, including seven strikeouts, with runners in scoring position. Joseph Menefee is 2-for-19 with seven strikeouts in RISP situations. Brandon Birdsell is 0-for-5 (.000) just with three strikeouts in RISP situations. With runners in scoring position and two outs, the opponent average drops to .181 (19-for-95).
