WHAT THEY SAID
Head Coach Jo Evans
On Kendall Potts' performance...
"I thought she did a good job throwing strikes and her changeup was effective. She used that more than she had yesterday. I thought she competed. She threw the outs we needed to get out of the fourth inning. We just didn't take care of the ball and they just had the right people up at the right time."
Freshman 3B Baylee Klingler
On her offensive performance…
"I tried hard to stick to my game instead of focusing on hers (Florida pitcher Kelly Barnhill). I know what I can do well at as a hitter, which is to trust myself and my mechanics and to go out there and hunt good pitches. I wasn't necessarily going out there to get a huge hit, but more so trying to keep it simple and get something up the middle."
