Series Preview: No. 18 Arkansas

COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M Softball welcomes No. 18 Arkansas for its final three-game regular season home series beginning Saturday at Davis Diamond.
Saturday's game is slated to begin at 8 p.m. with Sunday and Monday's games scheduled for 7 p.m. and 6 p.m., respectively. All three games can be seen on SEC Network with Eric Frede (play-by-play) and Erin Miller (color) on the call.

Texas A&M will honor its lone senior, Riley Sartain, Sunday in what is her last three home games as an Aggie. A staple on the left side of the infield, Sartain has started in 223 games at shortstop and third base and holds a career fielding percentage of .960. Offensively, the 2017 All-American has hit 36 career home runs with 31 doubles, a triple and 135 RBI. The Aledo, Texas native became the sixth Aggie to be drafted into National Professional Fastpitch as she was selected by the Aussie Puppers with the 18th overall pick.
For the season, Texas A&M (25-21, 3-15 SEC) is led offensively by Payton McBride and Kelbi Fortenberry, who top the team with a .353 and .340 batting averages, respectively. Fortenberry leads the Aggies in multiple categories, including runs (29), hits (51) and stolen bases (10).
Freshman Baylee Klingler leads the team in SEC play with a .345 batting average and has tallied four home runs and 13 RBI. Dani Elder is batting .321 against conference foes with two home runs and seven RBI.
In the circle, Kendall Potts paces the pitching staff with 10 wins. McBride has tallied eight victories as Kayla Poynter has added four and Hannah Mayo has recorded three.
Arkansas enters with a 34-15 (8-10 SEC) record and are led offensively by Hannah McEwen and Ashley Diaz who are batting .380 and .368, respectively. Sophomore Danielle Gibson leads the Razorbacks' in multiple categories including, doubles (11), home runs (11), total bases (95) and slugging percentage (.669). Autumn Storms holds an 18-5 ledger in the circle with a 1.73 ERA.
