No. 12 Men’s Tennis Hosts Battle of the Brazos Against No. 2 Baylor on Thursday

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The No. 12 Texas A&M men's tennis team will host No. 2 Baylor at the Mitchell Tennis Center Sunday at 3 p.m. (CT). A&M looks to avenge an early season loss to the Bears at the SMU Indoor Tennis Facility at the beginning of February.
The Aggies entered the spring season with five student-athletes ranked in the singles poll and a single ranked doubles team. No. 4 Valentin Vacherot leads the charge for the Maroon & White with No. 13 Habib, No. 33 Carlos Aguilar, No. 110 Barnaby Smith and No. 116 Schachter rounding out the ranked Aggies. Aguilar and Bjorn Thomson open the season at No. 48 in the doubles rankings, Thomson is in his first season in Aggieland after graduating from Texas Tech last season.
Texas A&M and Baylor faced off in Dallas on Feb. 7 to conclude the ITA Kick-Off Weekend that was originally scheduled for Jan. 24 in Ann Arbor. In Dallas, the Aggies claimed the doubles point but were unable to piece together a trio of singles wins to send them through to the ITA Indoor National Championships.

The No. 10 Texas A&M men's tennis team split a pair of matches in Mississippi last weekend, topping No. 23 Mississippi State 6-1 on Friday before falling 5-2 to No. 24 Ole Miss Sunday afternoon.
UP NEXT
The Aggies take to the road for a Sunday showdown against Arkansas at 1 p.m. before venturing out of conference for a Tuesday matchup against No. 25 Oklahoma State at 2 p.m.
