
No. 3 Texas A&M Wins Out West Defeating UC Davis, 14-5

DAVIS, Calif. – The No. 3 Texas A&M equestrian team (2-1) won its second straight meet, upending UC Davis (0-1) 14-5, at the UC Davis Equestrian Center on Saturday.
The Maroon & White tied UC Davis in Fences at two points a piece. Securing points for the Aggies included Haley Redifer defeating Jessie Rechs, 82-76, on Ronin, and Alexa Leong, in her season debut, ousting Ansley Wright on Calida, 87-85, earning Most Outstanding Performer honors.
The Aggies edged the UC Davis Aggies in Horsemanship, 3-2. Cori Cansdale beat Kayla Hickey, 74-0, on Halston, Alexis Robinson outscored Caroline Korell on Lily, 74-68.5, and Ella Petak took down Maddie Gregory, riding 39, 72-67.
Texas A&M led UC Davis at the break, 5-4.
Coming out of the half, Texas A&M exploded in Flat, scoring four of the five available points. Rylee Shufelt (68), Devon Thomas (75), Maggie Nealon (64) and Devan Thomas (80) all captured points for the Aggies.
The Aggies swept Reining, taking all five points. Ariana Gray scored a 71 on Trevor, outscoring Macey Newkirk's 69.5. Kessa Luers picked up the point over Kendal Scheiner, 71-67, on Bailey, while Lauren Hanson rode Cruiser to a 67.5-64.5 win over Emma Dillion. It was a .5 difference, but Emmy-Lu Marsh beat Lauren Langbaum on Bebe. Lisa Bricker secured the final point of Reining, besting Amber Nusser, 71.5-67, on Rogue, as well as Reining MOP.
