BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The No. 7 Texas A&M Aggies play a yet-to-be-determined opponent in a championship game of the NCAA College Station Regional on Sunday evening at 7 p.m. The Aggies play the winner of Sunday's 1 pm elimination game between Louisiana and TCU. The Maroon & White have two attempts to nail down their 10th regional title with an if-necessary game slated for Monday.
ABOUT THE AGGIES
Jack Moss is experiencing a monster postseason. In his five SEC and NCAA tournament games, Moss is batting .591 (13-for-22) with a .625 on-base percentage. He has multiple hits in all five games. In College Station Regional action, Moss is hitting .700 (7-for-10) with one double, four runs and two RBI.
The Aggies are hitting .349 in their five SEC and NCAA tournament games. In addition to Moss, Brett Minnich (.444), Ryan Targac (.353) and Troy Claunch (.353) are all batting over .350. Austin Bost has added three home runs and nine RBI. Trevor Werner and Jordan Thompson have two dingers apiece.
The Aggies have smashed 77 home runs during the 2022 campaign. It marks Texas A&M's highest dinger tally since hitting 85 during the 2009 campaign. The Maroon & White only hit the 70-tater mark one other time since 2009, hitting 70 in 2015.
Ol' Sarge's charges have swiped 76 bases this season. It marks the Aggies' highest stolen base mark since registering 85 in 2013.
Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park is hosting its 12th NCAA Regional. The Maroon & White have won the title in seven of the previous regionals they have hosted. The Aggies have won five of the last six regionals they have hosted, including going back-to-back in 2015 and '16.
Texas A&M looks to win its 10th NCAA Regional trophy. In addition to their seven crowns won at home, the Aggies earned Houston Regional titles in 2004, hosted by Rice, and 2017, hosted by Houston.
