Texas A&M Athletics Unveils Mission and Vision Statements

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M Director of Athletics Ross Bjork unveiled the athletics department's mission and vision statements at the department's first all-staff meeting of the 2022-23 academic year Thursday morning.
With the assistance of Horizon Performance and leadership expert Jason Cummins, Bjork along with senior staff members developed the following statements in order to provide clarity and purpose to the overarching mission of Texas A&M Athletics.
Mission Statement: To create opportunities through championship athletics.
Vision Statement: The home of the 12th Man is the pinnacle in opportunities realized through sports: championships won, diplomas earned, leaders equipped and launched to impact the world.
"Over the course of these last three years, we have faced several unique and interesting challenges never seen before and we wanted to take a step back, reflect and then create a platform that provides clarity on who we are as an athletics department," Bjork said. "We understood that if we want to be the pinnacle of collegiate athletics, we needed to define our mission in a concise way. We believe that defining our mission and vision will allow us to live out an every-day culture committed to providing the best student-athlete experience in the country, as well as emphasizing the Core Values of Texas A&M within our department."
