Academically, Madison will pursue her PhD in Kinesiology; primarily studying under Dr. Andrew Nordin from the Department of Kinesiology and Sport Management. She will also contribute to collaborative projects with the Huffines Institute.
Madison Treece received a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the University of South Carolina in 2019 and her Masters of Science in Exercise Science from South Carolina in 2021. During her time at South Carolina, Madison had an active role within their athletics programs, predominantly with their indoor and beach volleyball teams. During her undergraduate studies, she assisted with strength and conditioning and then became a manager for the indoor volleyball team. During her graduate studies, Madison served as a graduate assistant for the indoor volleyball team and a head of operations for the beach volleyball team.
Her involvement with performance and athletics went beyond the university role. Madison also worked for Prisma Health in their esteemed Motion Analysis and Performance Lab. This biomechanics and gait analysis lab examined joint actions and forces with advanced systems, such as 3-dimensional motion capture, force plate integration, and electromyography.
