No. 4 Aggies Welcome Houston Christian for Tuesday Midweek

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – Fresh off its first SEC series win of the year, the No. 4 Texas A&M baseball team (21-3) continues its eight-game homestand with a midweek contest against Houston Christian (7-16) Tuesday night at 6 p.m. from Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park.
Tuesday's contest will be streamed on SEC Network+ and can be heard locally on SportsRadio 1150AM/93.7 The Zone. Fans can also follow along with the game on X, @AggieBaseball.
The Aggies and Huskies will meet for the 16th time Tuesday night at Blue Bell Park. Texas A&M is a perfect 15-0 in the series and claimed last season's meeting 23-0.
Following the series win over No. 21 Mississippi State, the Maroon & White jumped back into the Top 5 across all five major polls. The Aggies are ranked as high as No. 4 in the D1Baseball, National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association and USA Today Coaches polls.
Texas A&M's pitching staff continues to thrive in 2024, ranking first nationally in shutouts (6), second in ERA (2.84), second in strikeout-to-walk ratio (3.92), third in WHIP (1.12), fifth in strikeouts per nine (12.3), sixth in hits allowed per nine (6.98) and ninth in walks allowed per nine (3.14).
Right-hander Luke Jackson will get the nod to start Tuesday's game against the Huskies. The start marks the first of the redshirt freshman's career.
On the offensive end, the Maroon & White sit second nationally in walks (176), 13th in home runs (47), 15th in home runs per game (1.96), 18th in on-base percentage (.439) and 19th in slugging percentage (.555). In the field, Texas A&M leads the country in fielding percentage with a .984 mark.
