No. 13 Texas A&M Prepares for Road Test At LSU

BATON ROUGE – The No. 13 Texas A&M women's tennis team face off against No. 39 LSU Friday evening at the LSU Tennis Complex with first serve set for 5 p.m.
"We're excited to play a good team in LSU this week," head coach Mark Weaver said. "We always have to stay on our toes when playing an SEC opponent on the road, and we're ready for the challenge."
The Aggies (15-6, 7-1 SEC) have won nine of their last 10 matches and are looking to extend their current win streak to four. Texas A&M is led by No. 1 Mary Stoiana, who is 7-1 in conference dual matches and has 24 total wins on the year. No. 14 Nicole Khirin remains perfect in league play with an 8-0 record, the sophomore is also currently on a 14-match winning-streak.
The Maroon & White hold an 11-3 record against LSU (11-7, 3-5 SEC) and are 5-1 when playing in Baton Rouge. The Aggies have won the last five matchups with the Tigers, and most recently claimed a 5-2 victory at home last season.
A&M is coming off a pair of dominant victories at home against Vanderbilt (7-0) and Kentucky (6-1) last weekend. In the match versus the Commodores, the Aggies clinched their 50th-straight home victory with their last loss at the Mitchell Tennis Center dating back to the 2020/21 season.
