
No. 3 Aggies Set to Host UTSA in Midweek Action

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The No. 3 Texas A&M baseball team returns home to Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park for a five-game homestand starting with a midweek matchup against UTSA (19-13) Tuesday night at 6 p.m.
The Aggies enter the week winners of eight of their last nine and boast a 28-4 record on the year.
The midweek contest will be streamed on SEC Network+ and can be heard on the TAMU Sports Network. Fans can also follow along with the game on X, @AggieBaseball.
Tuesday's contest marks the 34th meeting all-time between the Maroon & White and Roadrunners. Texas A&M leads the all-time series 23-10 and have won nine of the last 11 meetings.
The Aggie pitching staff currently ranks first nationally in shutouts (6), second in ERA (3.27), second in strikeout-to-walk ratio (3.65), fifth in strikeouts per nine (11.9), seventh in WHIP (1.19), 11th in walks allowed per nine (3.27) and 12th in hits allowed per nine (7.4).
Offensively, the Maroon & White sit second nationally in walks (226), 10th in home runs (61), 11th in home runs per game (1.9), 11th in on-base percentage (.434), 11th in slugging percentage (.550) and 17th in runs scored (281). In the field, Texas A&M ranks third in the country in fielding percentage with a .983 mark.
The Aggies have arguably the best 1-2-3 lineup punch in all of college baseball in Gavin Grahovac, Jace LaViolette and Braden Montgomery. The trio has combined for 123 of the Aggies 268 RBI on the year.
Entering the week, Montgomery ranks third nationally and leads the SEC with 51 RBI. The junior also sits second nationally in homers (17), third in home runs per game (0.53), third in RBI per game (1.59), third in total bases (109) and fourth in slugging percentage (.901).
LaViolette currently ranks second in the SEC in runs scored (47), second in walks (33), fifth in home runs (14), 10th in total bases (88), 14th in slugging percentage (.746) and 14th in RBI (33). Grahovac has turned in a stellar freshman campaign thus far, ranking seventh in the SEC in RBI with 39.
