Aug 02, 2024 | General
DALLAS – Texas A&M Football's award-winning series "The Pulse" was nominated for a 2024 Lone Star Sports EMMY in the "Sports Program – Post Produced or Edited" category, the Lone Star Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced.
"The Pulse," which has earned four Lone Star EMMY awards since its inception, will compete against entries from the Houston Rockets, Houston Astros and the Dallas Cowboys. The Lone Star EMMY Awards for Sports will be awarded on Aug. 27 in a ceremony in Dallas.
"The nomination is a testament to the hours and hours of collaborative effort that go into producing a high-quality show each game week highlighting Texas A&M football," Associate Athletics Director Andy Richardson said. "Certainly nothing noteworthy is accomplished without the entire 12th Man Production team's daily pursuit of excellence to showcase the Aggies in every facet of our broadcasts, videoboard shows and team-oriented content."
"The Pulse" is the product of Texas A&M Athletics' creative video unit, 12th Man Productions. The 2023 season series was produced by Buddy Kimberlin and directed by Cade Key, while Brittany Lancaster, Cesar Rodriguez, Charles Beasley, Madison Brast and Chris Bieschke served as editors. Will Johnson served as the show's host.
The statewide Lone Star Chapter serves all 19 television markets in Texas, and includes members from TV-related fields including: news and non-news broadcasting; production; post production; education; advertising; and public relations.
The Lone Star Chapter is dedicated to becoming the primary portal to connect professionals and students in Texas' television broadcast-related fields for networking and career development. The Chapter is committed to encouraging and recognizing high levels of professional achievement through the annual presentation of the prestigious regional EMMY® Awards.
