
Aggies Conclude Play in the Prequalifying Round

TULSA, Okla. – The Texas A&M men's tennis team finished out play in the prequalifying round at the ITA All-American Championships at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center in Tulsa on Sunday.
Senior Luke Casper started the day in the round of 64 facing off against Pierre Mouesca of Georgia Southern, winning in a three-set battle, 3-6, 7-6 (5), 6-2. He next went up against Mehdi Benchakroun of Central Florida in the round of 32, falling in three sets, 1-6, 7-6 (5), 6-4.
Sophomore Tiago Pires fought hard, but ultimately fell to Dimitris Paliouras of Georgia Southern, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4.
Junior Togan Tokac went down against Romain Gales of Clemson in the round of 64, 7-6 (4), 6-7 (5), 6-1.
In the consolation bracket, graduate Matthis Ross ultimately fell to Peter Nad of Notre Dame, 6-4, 7-5.
The qualifying round is set to start tomorrow, Monday Sept. 23.
