No. 11 Aggies Travel to NC State for ITA Kickoff Weekend
Jan 22, 2026 | Men's Tennis
RALEIGH, N.C. – The Texas A&M men's tennis team faces conference opponent Tennessee in the opening round of the ITA Kickoff Weekend Friday at 2:30 p.m. at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center on NC State's campus.
The Aggies (3-0) have found success early on in nonconference action. The Maroon & White most recently faced Elon on Wednesday, topping the Phoenix, 6-1.
Texas A&M and Tennessee met twice last season, with the Aggies taking their regular season matchup in Knoxville, 4-3, while the Volunteers edged the Aggies in quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament, 4-2.
ITA Kickoff Weekend takes place from Jan. 23-26 with 56 different schools competing at 14 host sites. Each site hosts four teams who will compete in two rounds, semifinals and finals. The winner at each site will advance to the ITA National Team Indoor Championships.
The Aggies are looking to punch their ticket for a third year after advancing last year by beating UCLA in the semifinals and then knocking off Harvard, 4-3, on its home court to move on to the indoor nationals.
The No. 3 seeded Aggies will either play No. 9 NC State or No. 18 Duke on Saturday in the finals at 10:30 a.m. or the consolation round at 2:30 p.m., depending on the results of Friday's match.
Fans can watch the matches through the live stream or can follow along with live stats.
