Baseball Takes Down TCU in Fall Ball Finale

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The Texas A&M baseball team topped TCU, 8-4, in its final fall exhibition Friday evening at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park.
The Aggies used 17 position players and 10 pitchers in the 12-inning outing. Texas A&M tallied six hits and drew 13 walks. Caden Sorrell got things started with a solo shot in the first to put the Maroon & White on the board. The Highland Village, Texas, native finished the night with two hits and two RBI in four at bats. Ben Royo drove in three runs for the Aggies, by way of a two-RBI single and a bases loaded walk.
On the mound, Aiden Sims again led the way with four punchouts in two scoreless innings of work, helping the Aggies tally 11 strikeouts against the Horned Frogs. Ethan Darden added two clean innings with two strikeouts.
