NEED-TO-KNOWS
ON THE ROAD AGAIN: After a rare three-game home stand to start SEC play, the Aggies hit the road to take on the Arkansas Razorbacks for the first time since traveling to Notre Dame in week two of the season.
Texas A&M's second road trip of the season will be the team's first visit to Fayetteville since 2013, when Johnny Manziel led the Aggies to a 45-33 triumph.
ABOUT THE START: With the 34-17 win over Florida, the Aggies improved to 6-0, matching the team's best overall start since 2016.
The Maroon & White are 3-0 in conference play for the second consecutive year and third time since joining the SEC in 2012. Last season, the Aggies won their first five SEC contests.
WITH A WIN: Texas A&M seeks to improve to 7-0 for the first time since 1994 when the team won its first seven games on its way to an undefeated 10-0-1 season.
MOVING ON UP: Texas A&M jumped to an Mike Elko era-high No. 4 in this week's edition of the Associated Press Top 25 poll. It's the highest ranking for the Aggies since ending the 2020 season at No. 4 after the Orange Bowl win over North Carolina.
It's the highest in-season AP ranking for the Aggies since R.C. Slocum's 1995 squad spent the first five weeks of the season at No. 3.
COMPLEMENTARY FOOTBALL: Texas A&M is one of six FBS teams nationally ranked in the top 25 in total offense and total defense. Adding in punt and kickoff return average for the special teams component of complementary football, Texas A&M and Indiana are the only programs ranked in the top 25 in all four categories.
THIRD DOWN SHUTDOWN: SEC opponents Auburn, Mississippi State and Florida combined to convert just 2-of-33 third-down tries, for a mere .060 third-down percentage.
The Aggies are the national leaders in third-down defense, limiting opponents to a .208 success rate (16-of-77 attempts).
DEFENSE HITTING STRIDE: The Texas A&M defense has allowed just four touchdowns and a league-low 238.3 total yards in SEC play. The Aggies are giving up a stingy 5.4 yards per offensive play and just 2.6 yards per rush in three conference contests.
