STRONG START: The Aggies improved to 5-0 overall and 2-0 in SEC play after last Saturday's 31-9 win over Mississippi State at Kyle Field. It's the team's best start since 2016 when the Aggies began the season with six straight victories. The Maroon & White are 2-0 in SEC play for the third consecutive year and sixth time since joining the league in 2012.
A victory over Florida would push the Aggies to 3-0 in league play for the second consecutive year and third time since joining the SEC in 2012. In the Maroon & White's first season under Mike Elko in 2024, the Aggies won their first five SEC contests.
MOVING ON UP: Texas A&M jumped to an Elko era-high No. 5 in this week's edition of the Associated Press Top 25 poll. It's the highest ranking for the Aggies since checking in at No. 5 in the Sept. 7, 2021 poll. Texas A&M has been ranked in 19 of 24 possible AP polls under Elko.
HOME OF THE 12TH MAN: Texas A&M has drawn more than 100,000 fans to all four home games this season and has a nine-game streak of 100,000-plus home crowds dating back to 2024.
Six of the nine largest home crowds in Kyle Field history have come during the Elko era.
Texas A&M is averaging 106,142 fans per home contest this season, which is on pace to break the school record for average home attendeance of 105,122 set in 2014. The Aggies lead the SEC in attendance by more than 4,000 fans per game and rank No. 3 nationally behind Michigan and Penn State.
DIVERSE RUSH ATTACK: The Aggies rushed for a season-high 299 yards vs. Mississippi State with six players gaining 20-plus yards. It was the most 20-yard rushers in a single game against an SEC foe since joining the league in 2012. The previous high was five against Mississippi State in 2012.
EXPLOSIVE OFFENSE: Texas A&M is tied for No. 10 nationally in generating 20-plus-yard rush or pass plays with an average of 6.6 per game. The Aggies have produced 22 passing "explosives" and 11 rushing.

DEFENSE HITTING STRIDE: The Texas A&M defense has been dominant in its past two games, both against SEC opponents. The Aggies allowed just a single touchdown to Auburn and Mississippi State, while only giving up a combined 396 total yards (198.0 per game) and 129 rushing yards (64.5).
The Tigers and Bulldogs converted just a single third down on 23 chances. The Maroon & White have controlled the line of scrimmage with 9.0 sacks and 15.0 tackles for loss the past two games.

- Texas A&M logged its fourth-straight game with 400-plus yards of total offense last Saturday, gaining 479 yards on 77 plays (6.2 average). The Aggies were dominant on the ground, rushing for 299 yards on 54 carries (5.5 yards per rush), which were both season highs. The Aggies had six rushers with at least 20 yards.
- The Aggies rank in the top 10 in sacks (3.6 per game) and tackles for losses (8.2). The defense has logged 8.0-plus TFLs in four-of- five games, including 9.0 last week. Since only logging a single sack in its season opener vs. UTSA, Texas A&M has 17.0 in the past four contests (4.25)
- Redshirt sophomore RB Rueben Owens II posted career highs in carries and rushing yards with 21 carries for 142 yards (6.8 yards per carry). Additionally, he logged a 19-yard reception as he posted career-high 161 yards from scrimmage.
- Graduate student OL Trey Zuhn III, a 42-game starter at left tackle, shifted inside to center for the Aggies' initial scoring drive against Mississippi State. He handled eight snaps at center, according to Pro Football Focus. It was Zuhn's second time at center after handling seven snaps in the season opener vs. UTSA.
- Junior LB Daymion Sanford turned in another strong performance in place of injured starter Scooby Williams as he posted a career-high nine tackles and tallied the first interception of his career vs. Mississippi State. Over his last three games, Sanford has totaled 18 tackles, 2.5 sacks and 4.5 tackles for loss. He earned SEC Defensive Player of the Week honors this week.
- Junior LB Taurean York has been on a defensive tear with 10 solo stops among his 17 tackles the past two games, and has added a sack, three QB hurries and one breakup.
- The defense has allowed just 2.5 yards per carry on 145 rushing attempts since giving up a 75-yard run on the first play of the second half of the season opener against UTSA. Over 30% of the rushing yards allowed by the Aggies in 2025 came in the first 20 minutes and 13 seconds of the season (177 of 546 total rushing yards).
- Texas A&M's receiving crew is averaging 15.1 yards per catch, which ranks No. 6 nationally (No. 2 in the SEC). Leading the way are the WR tandem of Mario Craver and KC Concepcion, who both average 16.0-plus yards per catch.
- Craver and Concepcion have combined for 54 catches with 40 of the total receptions producing a "money play," which is defined as a rush or catch that results in a first down or touchdown. Concepcion leads the team with 21 money plays on 24 receptions.
- RBs Le'Veon Moss and Owens also churn out the money plays with 34 of their 104 combined carries resulting in a first down or touchdown.
- Texas A&M has been elite in the return game in 2025, ranking in the top 20 in kick returns (No. 18/27.4 average) and punt returns (No. 12/17.3 average).
CAPTAIN YORK
- Junior LB Taurean York leads the Aggies with 34 tackles and his 6.8 tackles per game rank No. 6 in the SEC.
- The 5-10, 227-pound York has started every game since arriving on campus in 2023 and is nearing the 200-tackle plateau for his 31-game career. He has six career 10-plus tackles games.
- According to PFF, he's graded above 82.0 the past two games. He tallied his second double-digit tackle game of the season last week with 10 stops, including six solo takedowns, against the Bulldogs. Also via PFF, York logged his third game of the season without a missed tackle.
- York was named to the 2025 Walter Camp Preseason All-America First Team, as well as watch lists for the Butkus and Bednarik Awards.
- York led the defense in tackles in seven of 13 games last season, while posting a team-high 85.7 tackling grade according to PFF and missed just six tackles in nearly 700 defensive snaps in 2024 for an impressive 7.4 missed tackle rate.

BUSSEY BREAKOUT
- Sophomore Terry Bussey has emerged as one of the nation's top return specialists, ranking No. 15 nationally and leading the SEC in combined kick returns yards with 265 (217 on kickoffs and 48 on punt returns).
- At tiny Timpson High School in east Texas, Bussey earned the Mr. Texas Football Award as a junior and was named the Class 2A Offensive Player of the year as a senior after leading the Bears to the state championship. For his career, Bussey rushed and passed for over 5,000 career yards and accounted for 169 touchdowns on offense, while recording 270 tackles and 24 interceptions on defense. Bussey converted to wide receiver at Texas A&M.

MOSS IS MR. DEPENDABILITY
- Senior RB Le'Veon Moss leads the team with 343 yards and five touchdowns on 65 carries (5.3 per carry) and ranks No. 9 in the SEC with 68.6 rushing yards per game. His five rushing scores are tied for fifth-most in the league.
- For his career, Moss gotten more productive as the game progresses. He has rushed for 920 yards in the second half compared to 785 in the first two stanzas. He averages 5.8 yards per carry in the third and fourth quarters compared to 5.2 in the first half.
- He produced a career-high 139 yards on 21 carries against Auburn (9/27) as he logged his first 100-yard rushing effort since suffering a season-ending knee injury in early November of last season.

- Texas A&M is one of seven FBS teams with two running backs with over 1,500 career rushing yards. Entering the Florida game, senior Le'Veon Moss has rushed for 1,706 yards and senior Amari Daniels has totalled 1,590 yards. The other teams with two 1,500-yard RB rushers are Indiana, Kansas, Oregon, Penn State, South Carolina and Virginia Tech.
- Adding in QB Marcel Reed, the Texas A&M rushing attack features four players with 500-plus career rushing yards: Moss, Daniels, Reed and redshirt sophomore Rueben Owens II.
- Texas A&M returns 87% of its run production from last season. Moss, a second-team All-SEC pick in 2024, combined for 1,426 rushing yards and 18 touchdowns last season. Daniels was ninth in the SEC in rushing scores (8) and finished 18th in rushing yards (661) after appearing in each regular season game and making three starts.
- Daniels came on strong at the end of the season filling in for the injured Moss averaging 5.3 yards per carry in the last five games of the regular season. During that span, he totaled 369 yards on 70 carries and three rushing touchdowns.
- Owens is back in full swing as well after a fall camp injury sidelined him for the majority of last season. He earned 2023 SEC All-Freshman Team honors after leading the league's true freshmen in all-purpose yards (743), rushing yards (385) and kick return yards (249).
NCAA RANKINGS DEEP DIVE
- After holding its last two opponents to a combined 1-of-23 in third-down sitatuations, Texas A&M has vaulted to No. 5 nationally.
- Texas A&M is one of just two schools with players ranked in the top 15 in punt and kickoff return average. Junior WR/RS KC Concepcion ranks No. 8 in punt returns at 17.7, while sophomore WR/RS Terry Bussey's 27.1 kick return average ranks No. 12.
- Concepcion's 80-yard punt return touchdown in the season-opener vs. UTSA has him ranked in a tie for third nationally in season punt return scores.
- Bussey ranks No. 15 nationally (No. 1 in the SEC) with 265 combined kick return yards (217 KOR/48 PR).
- Texas A&M and USC are the only FBS schools with two players ranked in the top 25 in all-purpose yards per game. Concepcion ranks No. 20 with 120.0 yards per game and sophomore WR Mario Craver ranks No. 23 with 118.4.
- Senior DE Cashius Howell ranks No. 2 in QB sacks (1.4 per game) and No. 8 in tackles for loss (1.6). He is the SEC leader in both categories.
- Mario Craver's career yards per catch average of 19.7 ranks No. 4 among active FBS players with at least 40 catches.
IMPROVED PASS ATTACK
- Texas A&M's passing attack has shown marked improvement in its second season under offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Collin Klein.
- Compared to 2024 through five games, Texas A&M has the nation's 12th-most improved passing offense, averaging 90.0 more yards per game than last season. The Aggies ranks in the top 35 nationally in passing yards and pass efficiency
- It is the second-highest improvement in the SEC and seventh-best among power conferences and Notre Dame.

STOPPING THE RUN
- The Aggies under Mike Elko have limited opponents to less than 4.0 yards per carry in 12-of-18 contests, including their most recent opponent, Mississippi State (2.5). Texas A&M is 11-1 under Elko when allowing less that 4.0 yards per carry.
