Owens Earns Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Player of the Week Honorable Mention

TYLER, Texas – Texas A&M's Rueben Owens II was named to the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Player of the Week Honorable Mention after his performance in Saturday's 31-9 victory against Mississippi State, the organization announced Tuesday.
Owens, a redshirt sophomore, posted a career-high 21 carries for 142 yards and added a 19-yard reception for a career-best 161 yards from scrimmage. It marked the most rushing yards by an Aggie since 2022, when De'Von Achane recorded 215 yards against LSU. The El Campo, Texas, native averaged 6.8 yards per carry and was tackled for a loss only once.
Texas A&M hosts Florida on Saturday, Oct. 11 for a 6 p.m. CT kick on ESPN. Florida is 2-3 on the season and is coming off a 29-21 home victory over No. 9 Texas.
