No. 1 Aggies Welcome Texas State for Midweek Contest

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The No. 1 Texas A&M baseball team is set to host to Texas State in midweek action Tuesday night at 6 p.m. from Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park.
Tuesday's contest will be broadcast on SECN+ and can be heard locally on SportsRadio 1150 AM/93.7 The Zone. Fans can also follow along with the series through live stats or on X, @AggieBaseball.
The midweek battle marks the 64th meeting all-time between the Aggies (5-1) and Bobcats (5-2). The Maroon & White lead the series 49-14 and have won 10 of the last 11 matchups, including five straight. At home, Texas A&M is 33-10 against Texas State.
Tuesday's game marks the first midweek of the season for the Aggies, who were 13-0 in such contests a season ago. The Maroon & White will send freshman right-hander Aiden Sims to the mound Tuesday night. The rookie will be making his collegiate debut and squaring off against left-hander Jesus Tovar.
Over the weekend, Texas A&M claimed two of three against Cal Poly to secure their second series win of the season. In four of the five major polls, the Aggies remained as the No. 1 team.
Headlined by a strong starting rotation, the Texas A&M arms have been sharp through the first six games of the season. The Maroon & White have compiled a 2.55 ERA to go along with 51 strikeouts.
