No. 3 Aggies Host Ole Miss, No. 9 LSU

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The No. 3 Texas A&M women's tennis team hosts Ole Miss and No. 9 LSU over the weekend at the Mitchell Tennis Center.
Friday's match against the Rebels is 5 p.m., while Sunday's contest versus the Tigers is 12 p.m.
The Maroon & White (15-2, 6-1 SEC) enter the weekend tied with LSU (16-2, 6-1 SEC) for second place in the SEC.
The Aggies are led by back-to-back SEC Player of the Year, Mary Stoiana, who rates as the No. 2 singles player in the nation. The senior has won SEC Player of the Week twice this year and leads the team in ranked wins with 14.
No. 17 Nicole Khirin, who garnered All-American status this fall, is second on the team in ranked wins, holding a 10-4 record in ranked matchups. The junior leads the team in total victories, posting a 25-5 season record.
No. 61 Mia Kupres is 16-5 this season and 5-2 in SEC play. The junior is 8-2 in her last 10 matches and owns three ranked victories, which ties for third on the team.
The reigning SEC Freshman of the Year, No. 40 Lucciana Perez, has won seven consecutive matches and is undefeated in SEC play (6-0). The sophomore holds a 15-3 season record with two ranked wins.
No. 80 Daria Smetannikov and Lexington Reed round out the lineup for the Maroon & White. Smetannikov is second on the team in total wins with 23 and tied for third on the team with three ranked victories. Reed, who won SEC Freshman of the Week after Texas A&M's win over No. 16 Pepperdine on Feb. 16, is 4-1 in SEC play and third on the team in total wins with 19.
Texas A&M holds an 11-3 record against Ole Miss (9-7, 2-5 SEC) and is 34-13 all-time versus LSU. The Tigers feature three ranked singles players, including No. 42 Cadence Brace, No. 50 Kayla Cross and No. 102 Tilwith Di Girolami. In doubles, Brace and Cross rank as the No. 7 duo in the country, and Girolami/Anita Sahdiieva rank No. 29.
