No. 17 Women’s Golf Heads to Fort Worth for Charles Schwab Collegiate

FORT WORTH – The No. 17 Texas A&M women's golf team is scheduled to play 54 holes at the Charles Schwab Women's Collegiate at the Colonial Country Club March 24-25.
Leading the charge into Fort Worth is freshman Vanessa Borovilos who was just named SEC Freshman of the Week for the second time this season. Borovilos has had eight straight rounds below par and in her last two starts registered her first collegiate victory and a runner-up finish.
Cayetana Fernández García-Poggio also highlights the lineup as the Aggies' highest ranked player on the World Amateur Golf Ranking at No. 31. The sophomore leads the team with a 71.6 stroke average and has four top 10 finishes this season, including a victory at the fall installment of the Charles Schwab Women's Collegiate.
Rounding out the lineup are Sky Sudberry, Lauren Nguyen and Mia Nixon. The five Aggies will be taking on a 15-team field consisting of 11 of the top 20 teams in the country and half of the top 10.
The field will play 36 holes on Monday with the first round beginning at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start. Live stats can be found at scoreboard.clippd.com.
