No. 1 Texas A&M Rallies in Seventh Inning to Extend Winning Streak

COLUMBIA, Mo. – The No. 1 Texas A&M softball team erased a one-run deficit with a three-run seventh inning to come from behind, 7-5, against Missouri to take game one of Thursday's doubleheader at Mizzou Softball Stadium.
Trailing one in the seventh, Texas A&M (38-5, 12-3 SEC) took the lead after Koko Wooley and Allie Enright strung together back-to-back doubles to give the Aggies a 7-5 advantage. Amari Harper led off the inning with a single to left field, while Mya Perez reached on an error. Following an infield pop-up, Wooley hit her 10th double of the season to even the score, 5-5. Enright followed with her first hit of the game driving in two on a double to left center to take a 7-5 lead to the bottom half.
Missouri (22-25, 3-13 SEC) led off with a single, followed by a fielder's choice, a strike out and fly out as the Maroon & White completed the come from behind win.
Kennedy Powell was beaned on the first pitch of the game, while Harper reached on a fielder's choice and Perez singled to right field Texas A&M had two on base with one out to begin the game. On a 2-2 count, Mac Barbara hit a high fly catching the 25 MPH wind and clearing the center field wall for her seventh home run of the season. Starter Emiley Kennedy went right to work striking out the bottom half on 11 total pitches as the Aggies led 3-0 after the opening frame.
Missouri answered in the following inning after leading off with a walk and scoring on a single to right field to make it a two-run game, 3-1, in the second inning. After trading a pair of scoreless innings, Wooley singled to left field to make it a three-run game, 4-1, in the fifth frame. The Tigers led off the sixth inning with a double followed by a strikeout and foul out before consecutive walks loaded the bases with two outs. Mizzou took its first lead on a 1-0 grand slam to right field as the Aggies trailed, 5-4, heading into the final frame.
Kennedy earned her 15th win of the season going the distance for the 13th time. The All-American struck nine batters while yielding five runs on five walks and four hits.

- Kennedy Powell extended her on-base streak to 14 games after being hit-by-pitch to start the game. Powell has hit safely in all but two SEC games this season after going 1-for-2, 1 R, 1 RBI.
- Mac Barbara homered in the opening frame for her 52nd career dinger. The graduate has hit safely in 12 of 15 SEC games this season and leads the Aggies with 20 RBI in SEC action.
- Amari Harper extended her on-base streak to 18 games after she walked in the second inning. The junior was 1-for-3, 1 R, 1 BB.
- Allie Enright's lone hit of the game in the seventh inning was the 25th double of her career, while the two RBI brought her season total to 30 RBI.
