Women’s Hoops Learns 2026 Conference Opponents

BIRMINGHAM – The Texas A&M women's basketball team learned its home and away opponents for its 2026 SEC schedule, the league announced Tuesday.
Game dates and tip times will be announced at a later time. The Aggies' SEC slate features 16 games with eight at home and eight away. Texas A&M is set to take on every team in the league at least once with Oklahoma being the program's annual rotating opponent that it will play both at home and on the road.
The Maroon & White host Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, LSU, Mississippi State, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Vanderbilt. Six of the eight home opponents for Texas A&M made the NCAA Tournament last season, with South Carolina highlighting the group as the national runner-up and winner of two of the last four national titles.
The Aggies hit the road to face Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Missouri, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Texas. Texas A&M defeated both Kentucky and Ole Miss last season at home, recording the program's first ranked victories since 2021.
Texas A&M is entering year four under head coach Joni Taylor. The team returns three players from last year's squad with Lauren Ware highlighting the group. Ware led the team and was third in SEC in blocks per game (1.75) during the 2024-25 campaign.
Texas A&M signed seven transfers so far this offseason to go along with the three returners and three freshmen. Among the incoming transfers are Fatmata Janneh, who led the country in defensive rebounds (9.7) last season, and the reigning MAAC Defensive Player of the Year Ny'Ceara Pryor, who produced the most steals per game in the nation (4.1) last year.
The 2026 SEC Women's Basketball Tournament will take place at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina, March 4-8. The program has reached the quarterfinals of the conference tournament twice out of the last three trips.
