Texas A&M Travels to No. 24 Tennessee for Midweek Matchup

KNOXVILLE – The Texas A&M men's basketball team returns to the road, traveling to No. 24 Tennessee for a 6 p.m. clash on SEC Network Tuesday at the Food City Center.
The Aggies moved to 3-0 in SEC play, 13-3 on the year, and made it six straight victories after topping Oklahoma, 83-76, Saturday. The game saw 19 lead changes before Texas A&M closed out strong, beating the Sooners in Reed Arena for the fifth straight time. Defense paved the way for the Maroon & White as they created a 17-8 turnover advantage. Rashaun Agee led the five players scoring in double figures with 16 points and 12 rebounds.
Agee has tallied seven double-doubles on the season, good for second in the league. His 8.6 rebounds per game and 137 boards on the year are the third-highest total in the SEC. Through the first three league games, he is averaging 15.0 points and 10.0 rebounds.
Texas A&M ranks fifth nationally scoring 93.7 points per game and is knocking down 11.4 3-pointers per contest, good for seventh in the country. Rubén Dominguez leads the league and ranks No. 10 in the country making 3.6 3-pointers per game and tallying 57 total on the season. He has connected on four 3's in every SEC game so far this season and is coming off a 14-point performance against the Sooners.
With the Aggies using a consistent rotation and 10 players averaging over 12 minutes each, the Maroon & White's bench ranks second in the country contributing 41.3 points per game. Pop Isaacs leads the way, averaging 10.3 points and 2.7 assists on the year. Isaacs added 13 points in the victory over Oklahoma for his fifth straight game in double figures. In SEC action he is adding 15.0 points and 4.0 assists per game.
On the defensive end, Texas A&M ranks third among Power 4 teams with 16.2 forced turnovers and 9.6 steals per game. Rylan Griffen paces the Aggies averaging 2.0 steal per game, good for top-five in the league.
Tennessee is aiming to bounce back after stumbling at Florida, 91-67, Saturday. The Volunteers lead the all-time series with the Aggies, 13-8. They earned a 77-69 win in a top-10 showdown in College Station last season, but the Maroon & White have taken two of the last four matchups. Texas A&M's last win in Knoxville came in 2020, when the Aggies topped Tennessee, 63-58.
