Five Homers Propel No. 25 Baseball to 23-7 Run-Rule Victory Over Tennessee Tech

Nine Aggies recorded a hit, while five logged multiple hits. In six innings of offense, Texas A&M (2-0) scored in five. Through the first two games of the 2026 campaign, the Maroon & White have scored in 11 of 14 innings.
The home team sent 15 batters to the dish in the bottom of the first, scoring nine runs on seven hits and three walks. Wesley Jordan led Ol' Sarge's charges offensively, blasting a pair of opposite-field homers for two RBI and two runs scored, also drawing three walks. Gavin Grahovac and Caden Sorrell each drilled a home run and plated four RBI. Grahovac finished the contest 3-for-3 with four runs scored, and Sorrell was 2-for-4 and touched home plate three times. Jake Duer smashed his first home run in the Maroon & White over the left field wall and finished the game 2-for-3 with two runs scored, three RBI and a walk.
Boston Kellner continued to impress at the plate in his first collegiate series. After logging a pair of doubles on Opening Day, the freshman followed with another two doubles in Saturday's contest, plating two runs while scoring two more on his own. The Chandler, Arizona, native also reached base twice via walk.
Weston Moss was tabbed the winning pitcher in the first weekend start of his career. The righty worked 5.0 innings, allowing seven hits, four earned runs and punched out six Golden Eagles. Gavin Lyons entered in relief, tossing 1.0 inning and suffered one hit and an earned run, striking out two. Freshman Hunter Vincent handled the deciding seventh frame, allowing three hits and two earned runs. The lefty also recorded the first two strikeouts of his collegiate career.

B1 | Grahovac led off with a single and scored on Sorrell's third homer of the weekend that travelled 433 feet. Jordan followed suit with a solo shot to right-center. With one out, Duer knocked a single through the left side and advanced to second on an infield single by Terrence Kiel II. Bear Harrison was hit by a pitch to load the bases, and Kellner brought home two runs with a double. Grahovac walked to load the bases again, and Sorrell drew a walk to bring another run to the plate. Chris Hacopian flied a single into left field to score two more. Jordan drew the Aggies' third walk of the inning, and Sorrell crossed the plate on a wild pitch with two outs. A&M 9, Tennessee Tech, 0.
B2 | Harrison reached base via hit by pitch, followed by a Kellner double. The run was brought home on a Grahovac sacrifice fly to right field. A&M 10, Tennessee Tech 0.
T3 | The Golden Eagles began the third frame with back-to-back singles from Jackson Rooker and Landon Smelser. With one out, Nash Crowell doubled to scratch across a run and Jorsixt Jimenez brought in another on a sacrifice fly. A&M 10, Tennessee Tech 2.
B3 | Jordan blasted his second home run of the game with a solo shot to right-center field with one out. A&M 11, Tennessee Tech 2.
T4 | Manny Garza drew a walk to start the inning, and advanced to second on a groundout. Eddie Garza singled to right field and the lead runner scored on a Rooker groundout to second base. A&M 11, Tennessee Tech 3.
T5 | Jimenez knocked a solo shot to left-center with two outs. A&M 11, Tennessee Tech 4.
B5 | Grahovac got things started with a ground-rule double to right field, followed by a Sorrell single through the right side to score the run, advancing to second on the throw. Sorrell stole third base, and Jordan reached on a four-pitch walk. On a full count, Duer blasted his first home run in the Maroon & White to plate three runs. With two outs, Travis Chestnut drew a walk and was brought home on a Harrison double to right-center. Kellner walked on four pitches, and Grahovac drilled the second homer of the inning to tally three more runs. A&M 19, Tennessee Tech 4.
T6 | AJ Marchetti and Rooker were each hit by a pitch. Smelser brought home a run on a single through the left side. A&M 19, Tennessee Tech 5.
B6 | Hacopian reached on a walk and was pinch ran for by Sawyer Farr, who advanced to second on a wild pitch. Jordan drew a walk, and Nico Partida was hit by a pitch to load the bases. All runners advanced on wild pitch as Farr scored the run. Chestnut plated another score on a sacrifice fly, followed by consecutive walks from Harrison and Kellner. Blake Binderup entered the game as a pinch hitter and brought home two runs on a single through the right side. A&M 23, Tennessee Tech 5.
T7 | Aaron Moffitt started the frame with a four-pitch walk, and Connor Crowson advanced the runner on a single to left field. Manny Garza lined a single up the middle to plate the run. After Eddie Garza reached on an infield single, Rooker was hit by a pitch to add another run for the Golden Eagles. A&M 23, Tennessee Tech 7.
