BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M track & field's Debora Cherono shattered the women's 3,000m school record by over 10 seconds on the final day of the David Hemery Valentine Invitational Saturday at the Boston University Track & Tennis Center.
Cherono secured her second indoor school record after downing the previous 14-year-old program best in the women's 3,000m. The sophomore ran a personal-best time of 9:02.81 in the invitational section of the event to place seventh among collegiate athletes and 13th overall.
