Feb 03, 2026 | Men's Basketball
TUSCALOOSA – The Texas A&M men's basketball team remains on the road to start the week, taking on Alabama at Coleman Coliseum Wednesday at 6 p.m. on SEC Network.
The Maroon & White remain atop the league standings after a big road win at Georgia Saturday afternoon. The Aggies never trailed in the 92-77 victory at Stegeman Coliseum and used a balanced attack that saw five players score in double figures for the 10th time this season. Rashaun Agee was named SEC Player of the Week after leading the way with 18 points, 15 rebounds and a career-high seven assists. Marcus Hill and Ali Dibba added 15 points apiece, as Hill did damage on the inside, converting 7-of-9 (77.8%) from the field while Dibba knocked down 3-of-4 (75.0%) from 3-point range.
Agee has continued to impress in league action, averaging 15.6 points and 10.3 rebounds. His 10 double-doubles this year are the third-most in a season by an Aggie and rank second in the league, while his career tally of 30 is tied for eighth among active Division I players. On the year, Agee ranks second among league players averaging 9.0 rebounds, while his 6.3 defensive boards per game are also good for second in the league.
The Aggies rank third nationally, scoring 91.8 points per game and are knocking down 11.5 3-pointers per contest, good for sixth in the country.
Texas A&M ranks third among Power 4 teams with 15.2 forced turnovers and 9.0 steals per game. Rylan Griffen paces the Aggies averaging 1.7 steals per game, which ranks seventh in the league.
The Crimson Tide are coming off a 100-77 loss to No. 19 Florida Sunday afternoon, moving to 14-7 on the year and 4-4 in league play. Alabama has the slight edge in the all-time series, 15-11. Despite the Crimson Tide claiming the last three meetings, the Aggies are 5-3 in the last eight matchups. Alabama earned a 94-88 win in a top-10 showdown in Reed Arena a season ago and a 100-75 victory in Coleman Coliseum in 2024.
