Aggies Mash Five Homers in 18-3 Run-Rule Win Over Sam Houston

Texas A&M (23-9) hung crooked numbers in every frame and scored a season-high 18 runs, while nine Aggies registered a hit. Ariel Kowalewski paced the offense with her first career multi-homer game and a career-high five RBI. Tallen Edwards added a career-high four RBI and led the team with three hits, while Kennedy Powell went 2-for-3 with two RBI and three runs scored.
Grace Sparks earned the win, tossing 3.0 innings with one strikeout while allowing two runs. Taylor Pannell closed out the final 2.0 innings and recorded a pair of strikeouts while allowing one run.
The Aggies plated five runs in the opening frame courtesy of three long balls. Edwards hit a two-run homer, followed by Mya Perez with a solo shot, and Kowalewski added a two-run homer to take a 5-0 lead.
Texas A&M extended its lead to 6-0 on a double steal in the second inning before Kowalewski launched a three-run homer to push the advantage to 9-0 after two innings.
Sam Houston (21-15) opened the third inning with consecutive singles before a base hit down the third-base line put the Bearkats on the board, 9-2.
The Aggies continued to apply pressure as Powell and Edwards hit back-to-back singles, while Powell scored on a wild pitch. Micaela Wark hit a two-out, two-run home run to extend the lead to 12-2.
The Bearkats added a run in the fourth before Texas A&M sent 11 batters to the plate and scored six runs on six hits for an 18-3 lead.

- Mya Perez and Kennedy Powell each extended their on-base streaks to 35 games.
- Perez hit her 13th home run of the season and the 30th of her career. She reached base in all five plate appearances, going 2-for-2 with a home run, a walk and a hit-by-pitch, while adding one RBI and two runs scored.

- Ariel Kowalewski is the first Aggie to record five RBI in a game since Amari Harper and Mac Barbara did so against Marist in the 2025 NCAA Regional.
- Tallen Edwards made her 200th career start and eclipsed 100 career RBI.
- Hailey Golden recorded her first hit of the season in a pinch-hit appearance in the fourth inning.
- The Aggies hit three home runs in one inning for the second time this season, last accomplishing the feat against Tarleton State. Texas A&M has homered in all but five games this season and has recorded multiple home runs in 12 games.
- SCORIGAMI! Texas A&M added its first 18-3 victory in program history. A scorigami refers to a final score that has never occurred in Aggie history.
- Eighteen runs matched the 2025 season high and marked the most scored since 2007 against McNeese.
