Texas A&M Finishes No. 12 in Directors' Cup
Jun 25, 2026 | General
CLEVELAND – Texas A&M Athletics finished No. 12 in this year's Directors' Cup, the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics announced Thursday.
The Aggies earned 980.00 points, finishing fourth among fellow SEC schools. The Maroon & White locked in their 14th top-15 ranking and third straight, dating back to the 2023-24 campaign.
"I am very proud of all of our teams this athletic year," Director of Athletics Trev Alberts said. "I believe that we have the best collection of coaches in the country, and we have incredible momentum with all of our programs. The support of the 12th Man was unparalleled this year. I cannot wait to see that continue this summer and carry over into the fall."
The Directors' Cup assigns a point value to each team based off its postseason finish with 100 points being given to the sports' respective National Champion. Texas A&M was led by volleyball and women's tennis who both secured national titles this season.
Fourth year head coach Jamie Morrison's volleyball program brought home its first national championship after a historic 29-4 season where the Aggies took down three No. 1 seeds in the NCAA Tournament and swept their way through the Final Four.
Mark Weaver and women's tennis secured their second national title in three years with a 28-5 ledger that was highlighted by an epic 4-3 victory over No. 1 overall seed Georgia in the semifinals on its home court, and a dominant 4-1 display against Auburn for the championship.
Texas A&M sent 17 of its 19 programs to the postseason this year. Leading the way along with volleyball and women's tennis were men's indoor track & field and football who garnered 73.5 and 70.5 points, respectively. The men's indoor track & field team placed sixth in the country while football hosted a playoff game for the first time in school history with an 11-2 record.
