HIGH SCHOOL / CLUB: Pounds participated in U.S. National Team Camp on the U-14, U-15, U-16 and U-18 levels... led the Challenge ’96 Soccer Club to the State Cup championship in 2008 and ’11... guided club to a Region III quarterfinal appearance in 2009 and semifinal spot in 2010... was a three-sport standout at The Woodlands Christian Academy, twice earning first team all-district accolades in basketball, TAPPS 3A All-State Second Team in the triple jump and first-team TAPPS All-District 4-3A in the triple jump, 400 meters, 800 meters and 4x200 meters... was also a standout in the classroom, earning Academic All-State honors in basketball.
PERSONAL: Haley Pounds was born on February 21, 1996 to parents Blake and Dawn Pounds... father Blake Pounds (Class of ‘89) and grandfather Herb Pounds (Class of ‘65) attended A&M... has three siblings Kendall (18), Taylor (13), and Aaron (10)... majoring in telecommunications/media studies and aspires to be a sports broadcaster for ESPN... involved in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Grace Bible Church... in her leisure time enjoys traveling, running, reading, basketball, and mission work.
