Allen Kinley currently works with the Women’s Track & Field Team, Men’s Track and Field Team, Equestrian Team, Men’s Golf Team and Men’s Tennis Team. During his career with Texas A&M, Allen has worked directly with over 25 championship teams. Teams include National Championships with Women’s Track & Field, Men’s Track and Field, Men’s Golf and Equestrian.
Allen received a Bachelor of Science degree in Health, Safety, and Physical Education from Northwestern Louisiana State University with honors. While at Northwestern State, Allen was a linebacker on the football team earning four letter awards. He was also a member of the Blue Key National Honorary Fraternity and was voted to "Who's Who Among American Colleges and Universities."
Allen's coaching career inaugurated at Woodlawn High School in Shreveport, Louisiana. His duties included directing the strength & conditioning program, as well as coaching football and baseball. Following four years at the high school level, Allen accepted a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coaching position at Texas A&M University. After finalizing a Master's Degree in Kinesiology from Texas A&M, Allen resumed his education and received a graduate assistant appointment with the Kinesiology Department at Louisiana State University where he instructed strength training classes.
After one and a half years at LSU, Allen accepted an assistant strength and conditioning coaching position at Texas A&M University. He was voted the 1995 Strength and Conditioning Professional of the Year for the Southwest Conference. Allen has advanced his education by completing all Ph.D. degree plan courses in Kinesiology and has further completed all Ph.D. degree plan courses in Administration. Allen is a certified Master Strength & Conditioning Coach by the Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa). Allen is a past Texas State Director for the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He currently serves as the Certification Commissioner for the CSCCa.
Allen and his wife, Janyce, have a daughter, Kelsey that graduated from Texas A&M and played on the Aggie volleyball team.
