Michele Centineo joined the Athletics Department in 2021 and serves as an assistant strength and conditioning coach. In her role, she provides strength and conditioning programs for the nationally ranked swimming and diving and softball teams teams while supporting the core values of the strength and conditioning department.
Centineo returns to her alma mater after spending the previous two years at the University of Arkansas, working in a similar role with the Razorbacks' softball and swimming and diving teams.
A native of Houston, Centineo earned both her bachelor's (2014) and master's (2016) degrees from Texas A&M University. After college, she spent one season at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri, serving as a sports performance coach with the Lions' women's basketball, women's ice hockey and track and field teams. She then spent two years at Purdue, working with the volleyball and men's and women's golf programs.
In her spare time, Centineo enjoys lifting, coffee and spending time with her two dogs, Belle and Bentley.
