2023-24 (SOPHOMORE)Following an impactful freshman campaign, Smetannikov continued to make her presence felt in the 2023-24 season… She concluded the year with a 17-12 singles record and was 7-9 in doubles play… She was 10-8 in dual match singles, including five conference victories… The majority of the Smetannikov’s dual match wins came on court 5 where she captured seven, while adding three on court 6.
2022-23 (FRESHMAN)
Collected a record of 19-9 in singles during her rookie campaign... Finished dual match play with a record of 14-7, including wins on courts 2, 4, 5 and 6... Picked up a lone ranked singles win over North Carolina's No. 18 Anika Yarlagadda at the National Team Indoor Championships... She clinched the Aggies match in the SEC Tournament quarterfinals versus Vanderbilt... Secured a record of 6-5 in doubles play across five partners, including a ranked win with Jeanette Mireles over Memphis' No. 55 Emily Meyer/Aran Teixido-Garcia.

Daria Smetannikov was born in Washington D.C. in the fall of 2004 to Irina and Max Smetannikov… She has one sister named Maria Smetannikov… She is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business at the Mays School of Business and expects to graduate in the Spring of 2026… Her career ambition is to become a lawyer… In her free time she enjoys hanging out with friends.
