Angela Rosel

Angela Rosel is entering her first year as an athletic assistant for the Texas A&M University track & field team. Her main responsibilities include meet management, assisting the director of operations and other various administration tasks.
Before coming to Texas A&M University, Rosel coached at Utah State University during the 2014-2015 where she was in charge of sprints, hurdles and relays for the men's and women's teams. Underneath Rosel the Aggie men’s sprints made a statement at the Mountain West Indoor Championship in claiming the following titles – men’s 60m runner-up (Nic Bowens), men’s 200m champion (Bowens) and 200m runner-up (Parker Bluth), men’s 400m champion (Cole Lambourne), men’s 800m champion (Clay Lambourne) and the men’s 4x4 meter relay champions.
Bowens 200m time of 20.8 broke the indoor Mountain West Championship record, the Utah State indoor 200m record and it qualified him for the NCAA Indoor Championships, where he earned second-team All-America honors.
The Aggie men kept up the momentum during the outdoor season and broke a school record in the men’s 4x4 meter relay with a time of 3:05.2. At the Mountain West Outdoor Championships, the Aggie men once again made a splash laying claim as the men’s 100m and 200m champion (Bluth), the men’s 400m champion (Cole Lambourne) and 400m runner-up (Tanner Hunt), the men’s 800m runner-up (Clay Lambourne) and the men’s 4x4 meter relay champions.
Bluth broke the school record in the 200m with a time of 20.5. Additionally, Cole Lambourne qualified for the outdoor NCAA’s with a time of 46.1 and earned second-team All-America honors in the outdoor 400m.
Prior to Utah State, Rosel spent the 2012-2014 seasons as a full-time volunteer coach in charge of sprints, hurdles and relays for the men's and women's teams at the University of Oklahoma. In 2013, she helped coach the Big 12 Champion in the 110 hurdles, Tre' Lathan. Rosel also assisted with coaching All-Big 12 athletes in the 60m, 60H, 100m, 200m, 400m, 400H, 4x100 and 4x400. Additionally, she assisted in guiding the men's 4x400 meter relay team to second-team All-America honors during the 2013 outdoor season.
Before entering into collegiate track and field, Rosel was a Science teacher and coach. She coached multiple sports, including basketball, football, track and volleyball in Kansas and Texas. Additionally, Rosel worked with world-renowned sports conditioning specialist, Istavan Javorek, assisting the hall of fame strength coach with training and exercise instruction of athletes in multiple sports.
A graduate of the University of Kansas, Rosel earned her Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and her Master's degree in Kinesiology from the University of Texas at Pan America. Following her bachelor's degree, she completed an internship performing multiple training tests on athletes at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif.
