2019: Did not compete.
High School: 2018 graduate of Pottsboro High School in Pottsboro, Texas … Coached by Dean Johnson and Keith Bates … Member of National Honor Society and earned Academic All-State in Class 3A during her senior season … Produced personal best marks of 41-6 in shot put and 155-0 in discus … While playing basketball during her senior year she tore her ACL and missed the track and field season … During junior season earned silver medal in discus at State 3A meet after winning district and placing second in area and Region II-3A meet … Runner-up in TTFCA Meet of Champions with discus toss of 144-9 … Gold medalist in USATF Southwestern Junior Olympics … Claimed shot put district title, placed second in area and fourth in region meet … Runner-up in shot put at USATF Southwestern Junior Olympics … As a sophomore placed second in district discus and third in shot put … Finished ninth in region meet in shot put … Freshman year produced discus silver and shot put bronze in district meet … Placed fourth in discus at region meet … Also competed in basketball … Earned All-Region honors from 2014 to 2018 and All-State honors in 2018 … Named District MVP in 2017 and 2018 as well as All-Region MVP in 2018.
Personal: Madeline Jo O’Hanlon is the daughter of Anthony and Cim O’Hanlon, who was born December 30, 1999 in Sherman, Texas … Has an older sibling, Macie … Relatives who attended Texas A&M include her father, Class of 1986, Uncle Adrian O’Hanlon (’84), along with cousins Adrian III (’11), Ryan (’14) and Ross (’19) … Chose Texas A&M “since attending this university, not only as a student, but as a student-athlete, has been a dream of mine since I was little. Being able to call this place and the people in it home is a dream come true” … Started competing in track and field at age 12 … Majoring in Human Resource Development.
Tidbits: Career goal is to become an All-American, and an NCAA Champion.
