Outdoor - Ran in two meets...Competed in the 110m hurdles (14.73) and 100m (11.03) at the Texas vs. Texas A&M Dual meet...Finished fifth in the 110m hurdles (14.84) at the Texas A&M Team Invitational.
2020 : Indoor - Competed in five meets...Opened his season at the Texas A&M Reveille Invitational running the 60m (7.37) and 200m (23.34)...Clocked a season best 200m time at 23.30 at the Aggie Invitational, also placed seventh in the 60m hurdles at 8.61...Placed ninth in the 60m hurdles at the Texas A&M Invitational with a season best time of 8.49. Outdoor - Season canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic.

Personal: Andrew Quentin Zapata is the son of Andrew and Dawn Zapata, born December 10, 2000 in San Antonio, Texas … Hometown is Devine, Texas … Has two siblings, Jordan and Aiden … Mother and father are Class of ’92, while sister Jordan is Class of ’20 at Texas A&M … Chose Texas A&M because he has wanted to go here since a little kid, parents both graduated from TAMU and took him to countless Aggie football games and other Aggie sports, loves the Aggie spirit … Started competing in track and field at age 13 … Community service projects include volunteering with South Texas blood drive, Salvation Army, class fundraisers and his church’s festivals … Majoring in Construction Science.

Career goal(s): Graduate from TAMU, compete in the SEC Championships, and qualify for NCAAs.
I chose Track & Field over other sports because: It has been my favorite sport since 7th grade.
