2023: Indoor - Ran a personal best 47.34 in the 400m at the Tiger Paw Invite... Earned first place at the TTU Red Raider Open in the 400m clocking a 48.64. Outdoor - At The 40th Victor Lopez Classic, placed eighth in the 400m with a time of 48.11... Clocked a 48.62 in the 400m at the Island Relays Bahamas to place sixth... Placed fourth in the 4x400m at the Island Relays Bahamas clocking a 3:14.46.
2022: Indoor - At the Charlie Thomas Invite, took place on the 4x400m team that ran 3:17.89... Outdoor - Opened his outdoor season at the Texas A&M vs Texas Dual meet with a time of 49.01 in the 400m and ran as part of the 4x400m team that finished third in 3:13.78... At the 44 Farms Team Invite, clocked 49.31 in the 400m... Competed at the Michael Johnson Invite, running the 400m in 48.97 and taking place as part of the 4x400m that ran 3:16.65.
2021: Indoor - Did not compete. Outdoor - Ran the 400m in three meets...Opened his season at the Texas vs. Texas A&M dual meet with a time of 49.98...Ran 50.00 at the Texas A&M Team Invitational and 49.24 at the Aggie Invitational.
2020: Indoor - Competed in six meets running the 400m and 4x400m...Was a member of the 4x400m "B" squad that finished third at the Ted Nelson Invitational with a time of 3:15.22...Finished fourth at the Aggie Invitational running as a member of the 4x400m "B" at 3:14.94...Ran a season best 400m time of 48.72 at the Texas Tech Invitational...Finished the season at the Charlie Thomas Invitational running a 48.75 400m and anchored the 4x400m "A" team to 3:11.13. Outdoor - Season canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic.
High School: 2019 graduate of A&M Consolidated High School in College Station, Texas … Graduated Summa Cum Laude and member of National Honor Society … Coached by Lee Fedora, Sean Witherwax, John Branch and Sonny Soltis … Competed in 200m and 400m, as well as 4x100, 4x200 and 4x400 relays … Produced best marks of 21.87 and 50.65 … In 2018, placed second in 200m at district and area to qualify for Region III-5A meet … Ran best of 21.87 in area meet … Member of 4x100 relay that placed second in district, fourth in area and 10th at region … Ran on 4x200 relay which placed second in district, won area and finished eighth in region … Also member of 4x400 relay that placed third in district … Also a three-year letterman in football … First-team Academic all-state, second-team all-district and team captain.
Personal: Sam Henry Presnal is the son of Justin and Jill Presnal, born March 23, 2000 in Galveston, Texas … Hometown is College Station, Texas … Has an older sibling, Mac … Parents and brother all attended Texas A&M, father was Class of ’90, mother Class of ’92 and brother Class of ’18 … Family members also attending Texas A&M include grandfather Sam Presnal (‘57) along with five uncles and three aunts … Great uncle David Peterek (‘73) competed for the Aggies in the pole vault … Chose Texas A&M since he grew up around the school and have many family members who went here … As a third-generation Aggie, being able to be an athlete at my favorite college was a dream come true … Started competing in track and field at the age of 13 … Majoring in Business Administration.
