Appeared in two matches and three sets overall…Made her Texas A&M debut at Florida A&M on Sept. 19…Appeared in one set in the sweep against the Rattlers and posted two kills in three attempts…Played in two sets in a sweep against Georgia, tallying four kills in eight attempts.
PREVIOUS ATHLETIC EXPERIENCE
Was a four-year starter as an outside hitter and middle blocker for coach Jim Richardson at The John Cooper School in The Woodlands, Texas…Named to the Southwest Preparatory Conference (SPC) all-conference first team each of her first three years but suffered a season-ending knee injury prior to the start of district play of her senior season…As a junior, received Cooper’s Most Valuable Player award for the second consecutive year…First earned MVP status as a sophomore after leading the Dragons to the 2012 SPC championship match and finishing the season as the team leader in kills (577) and solo blocks (73) and also adding 432 digs…Was named to PrepVolleyball.com’s Soph 79, a list of the nation’s top 79 sophomores in the nation…Also was named All-Texas honorable mention by LoneStarVolleyball.com…Earned Prepvolleyball.com Frosh 59 highest honorable mention in 2011 after ranking sixth in the nation in for kills per set and fifth in hits per set according to Maxpreps.com…Played four seasons for the Woodlands Wave club team…Led her 14s team to a third-place finish in the American Division at the 2011 USAV Junior National Championships and a fifth-place showing in the open division at the 2011 AAU Junior National Championships…Named a 2012 AAU All-American after leading her 15s Woodlands Wave team to a fifth-place open division finish…Her 16s team won the Southern California Qualifier in the 16 Open Division…Most memorable moment of prep athletic career is “the evening Coach Corbelli offered me a spot on the team.”

Margaret Stoner Connett is the daughter of Hugh and Amy Connett…Has one older brother, Clark…Has numerous relatives who have graduated from Texas A&M, including grandfather Dennis Williams, Class of ’55, along with uncles, an aunt and many cousins and second cousins…Began playing volleyball when she was 9 years old…Played through a broken thumb to win the final game at the 16 Open Division of Southern California Qualifier…Served as the chair of her high school’s Dig Pink Fundraiser for three years…Was named a national ambassador by the Side Out Foundation in addition to being awarded the AVCA National Dig Pink Award, which included a scholarship, after ranking No. 1 or 2 in the state of Texas and second or third in the nation for funds raised for two years…Was on the yearbook staff throughout high school, serving as editor as a senior…Made her only official recruiting trip to Texas A&M and made unofficial visits to Alabama, Cincinnati, Emory, Georgia Tech, SMU and TCU…Chose to attend Texas A&M because “I come from a long line of Aggies and have grown up loving the school. A&M had always been an option for me whether I was going to play volleyball in college or not, so when I was offered a spot on the team, it was a no-brainer.”…Most memorable moment of Texas A&M athletic career is winning the 2015 SEC championship…Hobbies include videography and photography, dancing, writing and wakeboarding…Has volunteered at the Aggies CAN food drive, Residence Hall Move-In Assistance Day, helping new and returning Aggies move into their dorms, and Aggies Move, helping promote healthy eating and the importance of exercise to younger kids in the community…Is majoring in business administration…Named to the 2016 spring semester Texas A&M Athletic Director’s Academic Honor Roll…Career ambition is to be a director of video operations for a non-profit charity…Born September 27, 1996, in The Woodlands, Texas.
