Anna DiRita joined Texas A&M Athletics Department as Sports Science Assistant in July 2024. In her role she will provide services to various athletics programs as well as integrate with our Performance and Wellness units.
Academically, Anna earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Liberty University in 2022 followed by a Master of Science in Human Performance from the same institution in 2023. During her time at Liberty University, Anna was an active member of the Liberty Women’s Lacrosse team from 2019 to 2023. After completing her bachelor’s degree, Anna served as an intern with Liberty Football Strength and Conditioning from 2022 to 2023.
In the final semester of her master’s degree, Anna interned with Duke Olympic Sports Performance, where she assisted with day-to-day operations in the weight room across various sports. Following this internship, Anna continued at Duke University by interning with the Sports Science Research & Innovation Department. In this role, she specialized in sports science for women’s lacrosse, focusing primarily on operating force plates and Catapult. Anna collaborated closely with Sports Performance, Sports Medicine, and the coaching staff to enhance athlete performance.
